Most public ev charging problems come down to a handful of avoidable habits.
- Not checking a station’s real-time status in-app before driving to it, arriving to find it offline or occupied
- Leaving a vehicle parked at a fast charger well past a full charge, blocking the spot for others (many networks now charge idle fees for this)
- Assuming every fast charger on a route supports your vehicle’s connector without checking in advance
- Ignoring the charging curve and expecting the last 20% to take as long as the first 20%
