Short answer: Some warmth is normal and expected — no charger is 100% efficient, and the lost energy becomes heat. A charger that’s hot to the touch or hot enough to be uncomfortable, however, is a sign to stop using it.

This is one of the most common charging questions we get, and the confusion usually comes from outdated advice that predates modern battery management systems and charging standards.
