When a wireless charger feels hot, the cause is almost always one of a handful of things — most fixable without buying new hardware.
- Remove thick cases or metal-backed cases that interfere with the coil
- Check pad alignment — even a slight offset increases resistance and heat
- Wireless charging is inherently less efficient than wired, so some warmth is normal; excessive heat is not
If none of these resolve it, the fault is more likely in the device’s charging circuitry or battery health than in the charger itself — especially if the same charger works fine on a different device.
